Animal Lovers’ Trip to the City Farm

Event info

  • This event is free

This one’s for animal lovers!

Come with us on a fun trip to a farm… without ever leaving the city. Stonebridge City Farm is a well-known, active community-run farm on your doorstep.

We’ll wander through the vibrant Sneinton area of the city before arriving at Stonebridge to feed goats, pigs and sheep, see guinea pigs and terrapins in the barn, before ending with a tranquil wander through the gardens. You could treat yourself to something from the café and buy some home-grown produce from the farm shop. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people in a fun and friendly environment, and you can learn about opportunities to get involved with volunteering and events if you wish.

It’s an easy 20-minute walk from city campus, please make sure you wear suitable shoes and outdoor clothing. Please note that group sizes will be limited, so please book in advance, and wherever possible we ask that you limit non-NTU accompanying guests to no more than one, to maximise the number of new students who can benefit.

Students must meet the trip leader at the specified meeting place. Do not go directly to the venue.

Any questions? Feel free to get in touch!

Student tips

Thoughts and advice from current students on your first few days with us.

Hearing from current postgraduate students or recent alumni can be a real motivator, so look out for events that offer that opportunity.

I'd make an effort to go out with people from halls or to throw yourself into the organised events for non-traditional students. You'll never have the opportunity again to spend an entire week making connections with people - don't waste it!
