Step onto the Mats with NTU Jiu-Jitsu! 🥋

Looking for a fun way to stay active, learn practical self-defence, and meet an amazing group of people?

Whether you’re completely new to martial arts or have years of experience, NTU Jiu-Jitsu welcomes everyone!

Our club offers a friendly and supportive environment where you’ll learn traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu techniques, improve your fitness and confidence, and become part of a close-knit community.

Training includes throws, locks, holds, breakfalls, self-defence, and partner drills, with experienced coaches and committee members always happy to help you progress at your own pace.

Come along to our Welcome taster session to meet the committee, chat with current members, and see what training is all about.

No experience or equipment is needed – just wear comfortable sports clothing, bring a bottle of water, and be ready to have fun!

Whether you’re hoping to make friends, try something new, or challenge yourself, we’d love to welcome you onto the mats!

We can’t wait to meet you during Welcome! 🥋💜

All information can be found on our Instagram page. Feel free to message with any questions.

Student tips

Thoughts and advice from current students on your first few days with us.

Although it might feel nerve-wracking at times, try and meet as many new students as possible. The best way to do so is by joining one or more of the many Societies and attending local events.

My top tip for you is to talk to anyone and everyone. It doesn't matter who you talk to, just talk, get yourself out there. There's a chance that you'll make a friend for life, someone who you'll go on adventures with or someone you may not see again after Welcome, but you won't regret speaking to them.
