Get used to saying your name and the course you're studying over and over again!
I checked out a lot of theatre plays in my first year. I went to see a lot of NTU drama productions which were really good, then I joined the drama society and got to see all my friends perform. I have friends who are stand-up comedians, musicians and actors – you can follow your passions.
